PROVIDING TOTAL
CARE FOR THE ELDERLY
Bannow is a fine Grade II Listed Victorian Country Manor House, and was built
in 1877 by the architect Norman Shaw. All rooms are decorated to a very high
standard, and we pride ourselves on providing round the clock care in a hotel-type
homely and friendly atmosphere.
Our home is situated close to all amenities and we provide
transport to local areas, independently or care assisted.
The home has lovely well maintained gardens and is south
facing with views of the sea. We encourage our residents
to live as independently as they would like; we provide
monthly newsletters informing our residents of weekly
activities and outings. Residents’ meetings are
held on a monthly basis so they can voice their choices
on all aspects of care and socialisation.
Our residents are encouraged to furnish their rooms
according to their wishes; personal effects are an important
part of maintaining individuality. All rooms are en-suite
and assisted bathrooms are available. Each room has its
own telephone; privacy and dignity are paramount to ensure
that individuals can lead their own life as to their
choice.
Our dining room is exquisite, beautifully furnished,
with a choice of three menus per sitting, which are silver
served at your table. Alternatively, meals may be served
in the privacy of residents rooms. Guests are not only
welcomed but encouraged to dine. Private dining facilities
are available and are often used for family occasions
such as birthdays. We recognise that families and friends
are very important to our residents and we enjoy and
encourage their visits, which are welcomed without restriction.
We can accommodate elderly people and those suffering with mild forms of dementia from any race, culture or sexual expressions, from the age of 55 to 100 plus, pending an assessment.
We value each and
every individual and welcome people from all walks of
life and with many different needs. We provide long-term
or respite care for single or couples. |
